No matter how far you are from your nearest neighbor, if you live in the United States or Europe, UPS can deliver to your address. UPS can deliver to 80 percent of the planet within 48 hours, so if you live somewhere else, it's still pretty likely that UPS can find you to drop off or pick up packages. That's a lot of addresses -- and a lot of packages. In fact, in 2005, UPS delivered 3.75 billion packages and letters. That's more than one package for every two people in the entire world.

"Lazy UPS guy" Next Viral Sensation?

01:37
Call it "extreme ground shipping," or "Lazy UPS Guy" if you're tracking YouTube. "I was sitting right there playing XBOX, and I see a big brown thing pass by," said John Torres, who may have seen the next viral sensation live from his Gainesville home. "He probably wasn't thinking or just lazy like the video says," he said. The video, uploaded on January 14 and already has close to 600 views, shows a UPS driver heading North along 34th Street, driving on the sidewalk- directly through a school zone. "It's a very mobile area, we see bicycles and pedestrians all the time," said Sgt. Joe Raulerson with the Gainesville Police Department. If an officer witnessed the delivery, the driver would have been hit with a $154 citation, and three points on his license. The UPS public relations team released this statement to TV20: "'Thanks so much for calling this to our attention. What is depicted on this video is in no way condoned by UPS. We don't tolerate any violation of UPS safe driving practices and will take corrective action, including termination, for anyone who isn't following our safe driving standards. The location is not clearly apparent, so we're investigating this video further. We value the unique trust the public places in UPS for the highest safety standards on the roadways.' Susan Rosenberg | UPS Public Relations Manager." "Right when they get out of school, that's pretty much when UPS comes around," said Torres, who is happy no one was hurt but doesn't think "lazy UPS guy" should be fired. "Maybe put him back in packaging," he said.

UPS... Refused to hire me. I would not join the union.

03:02
The UPS will not hire you unless you pay money to the union. The union is forcing people to pay or NO job. So much for protecting the workers. To be a member or not. The Union is forcing people to pay a fee to work. This is why many States are in-acting laws to combat this unfair practice. UPS isn't fighting this unfair practice.

This Plane Could Even Land Itself: Why Did The L-1011 Fail?

08:28
The first 150 to click this link get a 2 month free trial to Skillshare: http://skl.sh/mustard When launched, the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar was the most technologically-advanced widebody commercial airliner ever. This aircraft made leaps forward in efficiency, comfort, and safety. 50 years ago, the L-1011 even had the capability to land itself at certain airports in zero visibility weather, when other planes like the Boeing 747 would have to divert. Yet the L-1011 is the same aircraft that nearly bankrupt the company that built it. Lockheed incurred billions of dollars in losses on the L-1011 program and only ever sold half the TriStars it would need just to break even financially. The L-1011 program got off to a rocky start. Rolls-Royce was to manufacture a new kind of highly efficient, three stage turbofan engine to power the Tristar. But Rolls-Royce had difficulty developing its new engine. During the development of its RB-211 turbofan, Rolls-Royce filed for bankruptcy. This created delays and uncertainties around the L-1011 Tristar Program. An even bigger challenge for the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar was that it had to split the market with its rival, the Mcdonnell Douglas DC-10. This aircraft was in many ways similar to the L-1011. But Mcdonnell Douglas was a proven manufacturer with a track record in civil aviation. Lockheed on the other hand, was the new player. Newly formed Airbus would also soon introduce the more efficient twin-engined widebody A300 that would take sales away from both the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar and Mcdonnell Douglas DC-10. The 10 Worst British Military Aircraft

16:42
If you want something done slowly, expensively and possibly very well, you go to the British. While Britain created the immortal Spitfire, Lancaster and Edgley Optica, it also created a wealth of dangerous, disgraceful and diabolical designs. These are just ten plucked from a shortlist of thirty. In defining ‘worst’- we’ve looked for one, or a combination, of the following: design flaws, conceptual mistakes, being extremely dangerous, being unpleasant to fly, or obsolete at the point of service entry (and the type must have entered service). Grab a cup of tea, and prepare for ire as you read about ten machines they wanted your dad, grandad or great grandad to fly to war. I'd love to hear your opinions below. The original article can be found here: https://hushkit.net/2016/03/02/the-ten-worst-british-military-aircraft/ This channel is here as part of hushkit.net, the alternative aviation blog. Boy gets to deliver packages with UPS

02:39
COLORADO SPRINGS - A little boy with dreams of becoming a UPS driver was granted his wish. Four-year-old Carson Kight was featured in a UPS "Your Wishes Delivered" video that was released this week. Carson's fascination with UPS started with Mr. Ernie, a delivery driver in his neighborhood. Full story at the Denver Channel:http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/local-news/4-year-old-colorado-springs-boy-gets-tiny-ups-truck-to-deliver-packages Last month UPS surprised Carson with a special delivery. Inside Ernie's delivery truck was a smaller UPS truck for Carson to drive around his neighborhood. "Carson knew nothing about it and did not know Mr. Ernie would come or that there was a little truck inside the big truck," said Karen Kight. Carson now spends his time hand-delivering packages with cookies and muffins to his neighbors. Nowadays his is the only brown truck you'll see on the street. Mr. Ernie was moved to a different route over the summer.

Obsolete By 2030 - Humans Need Not Apply!

50:16
The 20 jobs that robots are most likely to take over human jobs. Is your job at risk? Machines are only getting smarter and more efficient. So much so that they're starting to take over both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. NPR recently posted a guide created by researchers that predicts the chance of our jobs being automated within the next 20 years. To make their projections, the experts scored jobs across 21 fields on nine possible traits, the four most important being: cleverness, negotiation, helping others, and squeezing into small spaces. http://www.businessinsider.com/jobs-robots-are-most-likely-to-take-over-2015-5 - 9 'future-proof' careers, according to the world's largest job site. "Machines have the potential to make the workplace more efficient, by automating mechanical and routine processes, but humans will always play a key-role at the centre," he said. Check to see if your career makes the list, which is ranked in ascending order by average salary, according to data from Indeed and job search site Glassdoor. http://www.businessinsider.com/careers-that-are-safe-from-automation-2017-5 - Find Out If a Robot Will Take Your Job. Type in you filed or industry to see: http://time.com/4742543/robots-jobs-machines-work/ - Let the robots take our jobs and pay for a Universal Basic Income? As developments in artificial intelligence and robotics advance, there is going to be a severe and swift disruption of many working classes. Large swaths of laborers are going to lose their jobs, leading to unprecedented levels of unemployment. To account for this problem, having access to basic needs should become a right, not a privilege for the non-automated classes. It should be the responsibility of the corporations that have taken away working-class jobs to grant families this right—and the best solution would be in the form of a universal basic income. UBI, an economic proposition in which a sum of money is regularly paid to a population, could be a vital bulwark against the unintended consequences of automation in the workforce. Companies will profit significantly from workforce automation, so the private sector will be able to afford shouldering this burden, while at the same time still making greater profits. https://qz.com/1034358/ubi-and-automation-could-be-the-symbiotic-solution-for-displaced-workers/ God bless everyone. If you’re not respectful enough, you might just end up on a passenger shaming website! From getting too drunk, playing loud music, being rude to the cabin crew, picking a fight, ignoring the safety rules and more, these are 10 things you should never do an airplane. Many people tend to have a glass or two to calm down their nerves when flying. But do you know your drinking limit? Before you decide to drink, make sure your body can handle the turbulences! We all play music for entertainment, especially during airplane flights. But sometimes, playing loud music can cause major disturbances to the people around you. And not to mention it can completely ruin your hearing! You can easily get yourself in trouble on a flight by picking a fight or being rude to cabin crew. Don’t forget that you’re in a small space with often more than 100 people. Be respectful to everyone, including flight attendants. And last but not least, you should never ignore airplane safety rules. Do you know what to do when you hear “brace, brace”? Or what you’re supposed to do if you sit in the exit row? Pay close attention to the rules to make sure your flight is as safe as possible. Have you ever seen people getting too drunk, playing loud music, being rude to cabin crew, picking a fight or ignoring safety rules on an airplane? Warning From Man Who Designed RFID Microchip

17:02
Carl Sanders sat in seventeen New World Order meetings with heads-of-state officials such as Henry Kissinger and Bob Gates of the C.I.A. to discuss plans on how to bring about this one-world system. The government commissioned Carl Sanders to design a microchip for identifying and controlling the peoples of the world—a microchip that could be inserted under the skin with a hypodermic needle (a quick, convenient method that would be gradually accepted by society). Carl Sanders, with a team of engineers behind him, with U.S. grant monies supplied by tax dollars, took on this project and designed a microchip that is powered by a lithium battery, rechargeable through the temperature changes in our skin. Without the knowledge of the Bible (Brother Sanders was not a Christian at the time), these engineers spent one-and-a-half-million dollars doing research on the best and most convenient place to have the microchip inserted. Guess what? These researchers found that the forehead and the back of the hand is not just the most convenient place, but is also the only viable place for rapid, consistent temperature changes in the skin to recharge the lithium battery. The microchip is approximately seven millimetres in length, .75 millimetres in diameter, about the size of a grain of rice. It is capable of storing pages upon pages of information about you. All your general history, work history, crime record, health history, and financial data can be stored on this chip. Brother Sanders believes that this microchip, which he regretfully helped design, is the “mark” spoken about in Revelation 13:15–17. The original Greek word for “mark” is “charagma,” which means a “scratch or etching.” It is also interesting to note that the number 666 is actually a word in the original Greek. The word is “chi xi stigma,” with the last part, “stigma,” also meaning “to stick or prick.” In light of these definitions, implantable microchips could very well be the physical mark spoken of in the Book of Revelation. My Last Day at UPS Package Handler: A Warning

10:00
The job itself is super manageable and doable but poor communication combined with several workers who aren't willing to do overtime will force temps and hard workers to feel obligated to work longer. This was my last day at UPS as a full time temporary package handler. I was a sorter for both the night shift and the preload. I wanted to put this up mainly to wrap up a few more thoughts that weren't covered in my previous videos and also to add in a bit more content since I haven't been uploading much as late. My last week and a half at UPS was an uphill battle. I got used to the workload of the usual 9 hr per day with a 1 hr break in between and often a good amount of overtime everyday. That was doable. When my lunch was cut in due to the workload, that's when the work got tougher. The full one hour break was an ample amount of time for me to enjoy food and stretch out sore muscles. When cut to less than 30 minutes, I was always going into the second shift half awake and fatigued. On top of this, I noticed that the higher ups tried to keep me as long as possible by providing me with a paraphernalia of things to do. If one task was done past overtime, they'd go out of their way to search for another task even when my lunch was already cut to 20 minutes. All in all, make sure you be mindful about how hard you work here. If you are a part-timer and plan on staying here full-time, then put in just the right amount of effort to get the work done. The moment a higher-up catches you putting in extra work, they will take advantage of your mentality and also your physical capabilities. As for summer-temps, this will happen regardless of whether or not you have the working mentality. Just grind it out, work hard, and make the best out of it. The work is tough. The environment is tough. But, the benefits severely outweigh the work that is put in.
