Small scale e-waste recycling can be a rewarding part-time venture. Advertising to local businesses and households with flyers gets me enough e-waste to keep me busy at a comfortable level. Some may take it many steps further and I think it's possible because whilst at the highest level of recycling it's all covered, Servicing small business & residential homes is still very open for anyone wanting to pick up e-waste in smaller qty's. Space is always an issue for me so it's a balance between bringing stuff in, researching and then either selling or scrapping.

This was simply one of the most genius ideas from Hot Wheels: "Crack-Ups" was a version of their cars that would get visible damage from crashing, thanks to rotating panels on the cars. Just a little pressure on the cars' panel makes the "damaged" side swap through, or the hood pop up - all you had to do to get it back to normal was rotate and snap the panel back to where it was. This commercial featured four new cars: Bumper Thumper, Blind Sider, Front Ender and Top Bopper. Visit us at http://www.retrostatic.com for more retro TV commercials! Here's an ad with a jingle that's been literally stuck in my head since 1984, and a product that was cancelled that same year. I remember these drink boxes were pretty good, but then as a kid, anything with sugar was good. Can't find any other info on these at all.

Schools are a good source of e-waste because there's so many schools around and very few have an e-waste recycler servicing them. I recommend advertising to them and contacting the IT Technician that works there, usually one IT Tech' will service 3 or 4 schools. For a part time small business, offering a free pick-up recycling service will get you a lot of free e-waste to recycle & for precious metal recovery. I have about 15 regular schools I service and am slowly building them up, eventually I think schools alone will be all I need to keep me busy with e-waste.

The first Fruit Roll Ups Commercial from the 80's. You may remember this one. They keep referring to the as "Fruit Corners Fruit Roll Ups". They left off the company name after this. Fruit Roll-Ups is a brand of fruit snack that debuted in grocery stores across the United States in 1983. The snack is a flat, pectin-based fruit-flavored snack, wrapped around a piece of cellophane for easier removal. Fruit Roll-Ups are manufactured by General Mills and distributed under the Betty Crocker brand in the United States and the Uncle Tobys brand in Australia. Several similar products have been marketed by General Mills and by other companies. Fruit Corners Fruit Roll-Ups were heavily marketed on television in the United States throughout the early 1980s. Most spots featured the tag line "Fruit Corners Fruit Roll-Ups: Real fruit and fun, rolled up in one." Later spots featured children innovating in the "Fruit Roll-Up Fun Factory". The overall marketing theme is that parents can feed their children "fun" processed foods that are based on real fruit. Studies of American mothers have shown that the mothers are surprised at how sweet Fruit Roll-Ups are and how little fruit is present in them. For example, the strawberry flavor contains no strawberries, and the only ingredient derived from fruit is the sugar present in concentrated pear juice. General Mills' research for the product began in 1975. Joray Fruit Rolls are a round, fruit leather product from New York that predates Fruit Roll-Ups. Fruit Roll-Ups have a more rubbery texture than the natural rolls and though were originally round in shape, they are now shaped like a parallelogram. Fruit Roll-Ups have featured variants on the original plain sheets such as punch out shapes on the rolls and temporary tattoos and tattoos for tongues.

Source: http://www.stattimes.com/index.php/supply-chain-ups-test-drone-for-urgent-commercial-delivery/ Sept 26, 2016: Logistics giant UPS has begun testing the use of drones to make commercial deliveries of packages to remote or difficult-to-access locations, working together with drone-maker CyPhy Works. Testing began on last Thursday when the companies staged a mock delivery of urgently needed medicine from Beverly, Mass. to Children’s Island, which is about three miles off the Atlantic coast. The CyPhy drone used in the test is the Persistent Aerial Reconnaissance and Communications (PARC) system. The battery-powered drone flies itself, so very little user training is required. It is extremely durable, has night vision and features secure communications that cannot be intercepted or disrupted. UPS and CyPhy flew the PARC from Beverly to Children’s Island to test the viability of using the drone to make a time-critical delivery. In the mock scenario, the drone successfully carried an asthma inhaler to a child at a camp on the island, which is not reachable by automobile. The drone flight advances an investment made by The UPS Strategic Enterprise Fund in CyPhy to gather information about drone uses and capabilities. “Our focus is on real-world applications that benefit our customers,” said Mark Wallace, UPS senior vice president of global engineering and sustainability. “We think drones offer a great solution to deliver to hard-to-reach locations in urgent situations where other modes of transportation are not readily available.”
