In response to South Georgia's dark history of excessive whaling and hunting, the island is now a protected area. What are your thoughts on the island's ability to bounce back?

Jana Oh lol sure
Jana Oh (11 days ago)
+Mikey V life cannot simply re-appear once we have destroyed it, that is an evolutionist fantasy. Furthermore it is a harmful fantasy because evolutionists regard extinction as "natural" and if we extinguish everything "it can just re-evolve and come back again later".

Life finds a way. There's so much more we can do to protect this planet and wild life... It pains me to see sometimes people don't realise how important this is
Mikey V (14 days ago)
Never underestimate Mother Nature. When our unsustainable way of life leads to the extinction of humans, the whole planet will be resurrection island. Awesome series!

This rat-eradication technology needs to be shared internationally and deployed to many islands around the world.

Sad part is now we're consuming so much oil and fuel that flubber and whale oil would never supply our demand

Pardon my ignorance, but why were they killing whales/seals? What are those plants for?

I can't believe that humanity from the past several years or 1920's did this, I wonder if they tried to think before they kill.

were pretty wild ,hunting and preying, the bird's rule their and thank the larger helecopter mice for controlling their inquisitive nature.,might be some way of observing this phenomenon.Grubs and fauna are also important, exploring the Earth is also slightly relevant. Victorian era biofuel industrialised decay is a lot iron for nutrients now.

I just saw a study released this week. Humans have killed more than half the animals on Earth in less than a century. Doesn't bode well. One day we're going to be left with domestic animals and livestock...
kyle Wu (1 month ago)
Economic growth makes the resurrection possible. Industrial products make whaling and seal hunting productions obsolete. Only with wealthy life do people begin to be aware of nature love.

Sea sickness hahahaha
Kenneth Bartlett (1 month ago)
I remember sea sickness. I sailed aboard the USS Patch a troop ship, to Germany with the 11th Airborne Div in 1956 thru 1958. We were packed in like sardines and smelled similar after a few days. We hit a storm going over and after my tour was over, returned home on the USS Rose and hit a storm. I was seasick on both trips as were most on board. Staying busy was the solution. The storm was often so violent , we were for forbidden to go on deck. It didn't take much convincing for me, to remain below deck.
