It’s all CGI from start to end. Who the h... believes all this nonsence? A lot of money used from taxpayers to have Walt Disney pictures. Glad I’m not a US citizen. Wake up people.

I applaud this guy for his presentation. He is not a comedian, he is a scientist and If you haven't noticed Science people are not funny... unless you are Sheldon HEHEHE. My point is that he tried hard to make it entertaining and he did. Thumbs up for you and thumbs down for the audience. ...

So you are telling me that we can get pictures from Mars but we can’t seem to get very good service in the city? Really cell service companies? Get up your game a couple levels.

B. S. We’ve Never been to the moon. Fake mars video
Something & stuff (1 day ago)
@Benjamin Hill look at 9:00 you would see a panoramic view of Mars geography. The old rovers can only capture grayscaled photos but when data is sent back to NASA...they have a colour-correction mechanism to enhance the photo. In fact, all of the space photos are all clour corrected. All overhead(aerial) photos in the presentation are all real photos from different space expedition. CGI is just for presentation...for drama
Benjamin Hill (1 day ago)

In December 2012, Curiosity's two-year mission was extended indefinitely, and on August 5, 2017, NASA celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Curiosity rover landing. The rover is *still operational* , and as of today(16-Sep-2019), Curiosity has been on Mars for 2528 sols (2597 total days) since landing on August 6, 2012.

We have the capability to send humans to Mars, we have had the technical skill to since the 80's but no country has the guts to try it yet because of the risk involved. I wish we were still as brave about space travel as we were in the 60's we sent men to the Moon with such crude and weak computing power and the risk was insane but we took that risk. It seems like after Challenger and Columbia we have lost that bravado and will only go now when there is minimal risk. I hope I will be alive to see when humans step on Mars, at the pace we are going I dont think I will see it unless we get brave again.

2:43 makes me wonder, can’t we use the same kind of technique for a soft landing on the moon. There were multiple failures in the recent past by Israel and India, due to a hard landing. Why can’t we use this kind of technique in those scenarios. Why depend on the thrusters for slow down ?

United Geometry (8 days ago)
I call BS,, Rovers were meant to last 9 months & is still going over a decade later ?? I see a photo of the Rover filthy, later it look Bran New,, NASA says a dust storm or something cleaned it,, A dust storm on Mars is like sand blasting. Have you seen the selfie from Mars? Who took the pic? Things that make you go Hmmm,,,,

It would have been good if ISRO would have used this kind of soft technology for Vikram Lander to prevent communication loss
Raghuveer Sharma (10 days ago)
@Bipul Kumar 200-300 Km is a joke...Bhai...I don't mean to point fingers at you and neither I am an expert in this, but just think logically that either it be Moon or Mars, it lacks the gravitational force and technology should be capable to have inbuilt buoyancy force that restricts the speed while landing
Rajendra Kumar (10 days ago)
@Bipul Kumar aur soft landing rovers ke liye hota hai Vikram ek lander hai
Bipul Kumar (10 days ago)
Bhai agar hm moon pe wese bounce krte to 200 300 km age badh jate planned location se, or moon pe to human bhi bohot upar bouce krta h fhir Isme kese bounce krate
Syed Huzaifa Ahmed (11 days ago)
Is this just animation? Because I dont think its a real footage. And if its not the real footage, this might be another fake just like moon landing. Mars landing mission was demonstrated by Nagin Cox of NASA at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan on 2014.
Abdul Moiz (8 days ago)
Animation is for demonstration purpose. There are real images and some video footages from the rovers in this video, it's easy to figure out.

Autoplay recommendation, after seeing a clip on "the planned missions" ahead. "Astonishing" ("meh...."uh, Sideshow bob like quasi-cringe shiver "reaction" to use of "compliment"), what some people can/have/will manage to accomplish. "I" initially thought it was the pathfinder, the visualizations are similar from what is derived out of fluid memory recall to the decade(s) past. Without "flat screens, social media, apps, smart phones or high speed internet"
