The problem with the Master Settlement Agreement of 1998 is that states took millions if not billions of dollars each and every year and did not use the money for any of the intended purposes. Over 2 decades later some of the states are about to default on invested bonds that were all based on future sales of tobacco. The tobacco companies look like saints compared to how bad these states screwed and lied to the public.

IT'S CHINESE FENTANYL THAT'S THE PROBLEM! Illegal Alien Sentenced to Six Years for Having Enough Fentanyl to Kill Half a Million Americans https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/09/10/illegal-alien-sentenced-to-six-years-for-having-enough-fentanyl-to-kill-half-a-million-americans/ JOhn BInder 10 Sept 2019 An illegal alien has been sentenced to a little more than six years in prison for planning to distribute enough fentanyl to kill half a million Americans, federal officials confirm. Pablo Vega-Ontanon, a 53-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden to 74 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release for possessing enough fentanyl to kill 500,000 Americans with an intent to distribute the drugs. Vega-Ontanon, who had been living in Georgia, traveled to Gulfport, Mississippi on November 6, 2018, with Eder Ortega-Casarrubias and Eric Estudillo-Carrazco to sell heroin they said was hidden in a compartment of their vehicle to a confidential informant. After federal officials arrested the illegal alien and his two accomplices, investigators discovered that the trio had possession of 9kg of heroin and 1kg of fentanyl — enough drugs to kill 500,000 Americans, nearly the entire population of Wyoming. In June 2019, Ortega-Cassarubias was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release, while Estudillo-Carrazco pleaded guilty last month and faces a maximum life sentence and a $10 million fine. Every year, nearly 70,000 to 76,000 Americans die from drug overdoses. A report released by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) revealed this year that young white American men are the most vulnerable to the national opioid crisis, dying at a higher rate than any other demographic group.

This settlement is a joke. Plus who actually profits from these large company lawsuit? Not the victims. The lawyers are the only ones getting rich. A double whammy for the victims and more greed for the attorneys and big pharma.

Can somebody please show me where in the Pharmaceutical pamphlet that actually says " This drug is NOT Addicting nor will taking this drug lead to addiction... Death... " I'm sorry for people who are addicted and than act Irrational I Sympathize for anyone who has lost family members, friends.. ...By no means do I believe for 1 second that people who are prescsibed said drugs and chose to do whatever they want say to themselves " oh let me take another pill I'm really hurting nothing is going to happen " ....why is this the fault of J&J or any other Pharmaceutical company for that matter.... People need to take responsibility stop looking for ways to make money or point fingers... Oh hell... I'll stop here cause this is an ever ending war.....

Oh yeah John Berman blame the doctors this from a guy who works for the network that takes money from these criminals the pharmaceutical companies yeah who manufacture the products that cause people to become addicted so why shouldn't they take the responsibility the doctors only prescribe the medications they manufacture the product that makes people become addicted so blame the doctors no blame the criminals the pharmaceutical companies that you profit from John Berman and your network profits from advertisement are the pharmaceutical companies and that you attack Bernie Sanders over because you're in the pockets of these murderers then and now be held responsible for the Opium crisis CNN going to continue to take blood money from criminals are you You criticize The Fox News and republicans for taking blood money from the NRA what's the difference both are responsible for innocent people's death the pharmaceutical companies and the National Rifle Association you're both as bad as each other you take money from the pharmaceutical companies John Berman CNN you are just as guilty as the Fox News who takes money from the NRA the difference is the NRA hasn't been found guilty in a court of law it's been criminally liable as yet Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Company has now been criminally liable for innocent people's deaths in Oklahoma so you going to continue to take money from a company that's responsible for innocent people's death John Berman CNN or continue to blame the doctors

That is bullshit. I am not usually for the big companies but that is so wrong that Johnson & Johnson is forced to pay the state of Oklahoma. It's up to the doctor's to do their due diligence of knowing what the drugs do and side effects of the medication. The GP is responsible for the patient's progress of recovery or stabilization of health for the patient. And why are the consumers of the drugs not reading the side effects of the drug. It's not like you can get those drugs in Canada & America over the counter. The company Johnson & Johnson should not be liable. Why can't people take responsibility for what they do to their own body.

@mo1979ca ya opioid is bad to. i want to get off. Steroids like dexamethasone damage my adrenals and immune . i not thinking well right now. and God be comfort for you.
mo1979ca (1 month ago)
@trafficjon400 I pray that you recover from the damage of whatever type of medication you were taking. However I was talking about opioid abuse. That is the main topic. And most western medication have side effects. So you have to weight the pro and cons of medication that you have to put into your body. I know this personally because I myself take over 20 medications per day.

I was given Vicodin as a pain killer,I used it for 4 months but found myself being to dependent on it so I decided not to take it anymore and tough it out and just deal with the pain. I went back to work after 4 months and just dealt with the pains for another month or so until the pain went away..... MIND OVER BODY.

called it! edit: dear general public, you DO NOT need medication - we have been on Earth many years, so much so before we started even popping chemicals. There are indeed types of critical medications needed, no doubt. However, listen to your body and brain, they often tell you what they need. For anyone experiencing chronicle pain, I cannot compare. I can only listen. That said, be a warrior, regardless. (even if it is easier said than done). For everyone else, just try, just try listening to your body. It knows what it needs. You don't have to like it, but your body, heart and brain will. period.

Carol Jacob - man, don't make me tear up! Digital high-five 🖐 and props 🤜🤛. GO grandmother GO grandmother GO!! Seriously, it is people like her that have taught me! I am glad you and I were able to carry her name on, even if it was brief. We were able to represent her true grit and courage! Knowingly you require meditation, mind me saying so and my, soon to be, radical opinion. 🧐😁! Is it possible to change medicine, and more importantly yourself!? Make these metal plates your "new bones". Your body, your mind, your control. Sure, this may sound impossible, but we know we are amazing animals. We adapt. Study philosophy and psychology and, muscle memory as well as different species of animals that are able to reform their bodies do to the circumstance they have come to deal with. i.e. - octopus, lizards, spiders, etc. "How do animals adapt?" All you are doing is morphing your mind to recognize what you really can do. It starts with the mind. It may not work, of course, but at least you tried, as the old saying goes, right? I don't mean "workout". I mean do some "crazy-as-shit" mental exercises that are so "unreal" , that you made this new science real. This new belief of I can. The next level! Make them metal plates your new bones. You are young (no matter how old you are mentally). Mind over matter. 🦉 Grandma did it. Your next. Change medicine. Change yourself. Blow the minds of science out the door. Be the first. Be Wolverine! 🎩 my hat is off to you, good lady aka Carol Jacob doyou#

Motivator Warrior, Your Welcome! The reason I know your right in what your saying is my grandmother broke her hip at 81 and they did a hip replacement.. and the Dr. Wanted to give her Hydrocodone.. she told him no. So he said said let me at least give you Tylenol#3 she said okay.. But when she came home from the hospital my aunt and I along with my cousin brought her home to get comfortable and we asked her to take one so she could rest comfortable that evening. She took it. And 15 to 20 mins. later it made her sick. So needless to say that was the only one she took.. later that night. She started taking over the Counter bufferin which has a coating on it that protected her stomach. Through that whole healing process and through therepy she only took 2 bufferin every 6 hrs.. I was very proud of her. She had a lot of grit! At 94 before she passed she only took 1/2 of a zanax at bedtime. That was the only medecine she was on.. she passed on to be with the Lord In 2011. But, I saw a true Warrior in my Grammy. So, I do believe your message you shared with us!!! I pray there are more people like you sharing positive Real Advise on helping others. God Bless you and yours on your Journey through life! 😇👍🙋

Carol Jacob - man, that is a tough tough situation. As mentioned, I cannot compare. You seem like a warrior, without denial. Thank you, too for your message.🦉

Motivator Warrior, Great message and a positive message as well.. However someone that has 13 steel rods and 27 screws after 7 surgeries that now has Athritis In there back along with a steel rod in the right shoulder that has daily pain that is excruciating on a daily basis and worse when it rains.. Therapy doesn't help when you hurt so bad you can't hardly move it hurts so bad you cry if you have to move.. for that type of pain your body calls for a strong pain medication!!! Other then that your message is positive! Thank you for it! Much Appreciated! 😎👍

Its not a joke to them. Thats their annual profits. Imagine losing your entire yearly salary...IT DOES AFFECT THE COMPANY. Perhaps the pay structure will be over years but still its a massive sum for the company to pay.
