2 questions I hope u can answer pls. How often does the truck breakdown , and what happens when it does? (How many miles on the truck) Have u tried using a commercial mapping GPS / router that lays out the most efficient routes to take for each stop or how do u plan the order of each stop? Thanks for all u do

What do you do if your delivery truck malfunctions and what happens after that? Do they send you home or does someone come out to fix it? Also, what do you do if someone steals a package from your truck while you're dropping off a package? I notice most delivery drivers leave their van open.

What is the difference between ground and express, and I’m referring to the hiring/pay/work/policies. Only asking because I got an interview with Express on monday for a full time position. I read it some reviews that full time doesn’t necessarily mean 40 hrs. Any info would help. Thanks in advanced
Hector Aguirre (29 days ago)
Rozco i haven’t heard back from them since the interview. I accepted a job offer for frito lay though
Rozco (29 days ago)
Did you end up getting the job? I had an interview with Express a few days ago and still waiting for a call back.
Hector Aguirre (1 month ago)
Why does he cover the fedex logo, but on some other videos he shows it?

Like the videos. I applied as a driver for a contractor there, worked 2 days, then quit, its a lot of work. There had been a few guys that quit week before and my first day. Much respect to all of you!! Loading that truck is a B@&$#!!! Not enough people to help out to deliver a heavy item. I worked for matt.

I enjoy the vids everytime! I work for Express and I'm part time courier. Good place to work. Hard work though. Thanks for posting anything and everything... 👍
Neal Feldpausch (29 days ago)
+Rozco yes just go rent a Uhaul that's maybe even a little smaller and you'll get the righr idea. Adjusting to using mirrors and the back up camera and depth perception. Right in !!!
Rozco (29 days ago)
Neal Feldpausch Thank you for responding! I'll keep your advice in mind. Only problem now is finding somewhere that will let me rent a p700 truck. You really think a regular Uhaul box truck would be good enough to practice in?
Neal Feldpausch (29 days ago)
+Rozco I wish I would have rented a box truck and practiced. Good idea! It was the snaking between cones and reverse parking between cones that I wasnt fully prepared for. I trained in a big city and driving in town and in and out of traffic wasn't difficult if nothing but a little nerve racking. I hadnt driven a 700 box truck before. I had only driven basicly oversized or conversion vans. Use the mirrors. If you're not sure. Stop and get out and look. Don't be in a hurry it's not a race. I hit cones twice. 1 more and I would have failed. And had to retake at later date. The last 5 years I have been part time FO driver and I love it. I get to see my kids and have insurance for them! Good luck. 👍😎😁
Rozco (29 days ago)
Neal Feldpausch Do you have any tips for doing well on the road test that you take before you're hired? Would renting a box truck and practicing maneuvers help? What should I expect from the test? I just interviewed with Express for part time courier so just trying to get some insight.

Hey man, found your channel recently. I did mostly home delivery and a little ground for about a year and a half and quit around a year ago. Its nice seeing you post about stuff that I've experienced as well. Package delivery can be stressful if you let it be so I think your channel is a great way for drivers to relate and relieve stress and maybe find ways to make their routes easier.

Let doubt fool you
K Shizzle (1 month ago)
Let doubt fuel you is a great motto i got from your channel. I kept that in mind as im training right now, been driving p500 and p1000 around, but i dont have a route yet. Thanks for the insight and motivation
CThompsonTv (1 month ago)
That's great! Hope it's working out. Stay motivated!
Zach Wachs (1 month ago)
I'm doing great as a FedEx ground driver myself CTHOMPSON. I don't get to drive a p1000 yet though my contractor only has two, with that being said the p700 is very nice.
DuhGreaT (1 month ago)
JT ups is a seniority based job so unlike fedex where they are non union and you get hired as a driver right away ups you have to start as a package handler . However ups drivers get paid hourly not salary and we get paid good money unlike fedex
JT (1 month ago)
DuhGreaT Hey bro, What requirements are needed to be a driver in general ? I’m looking into this position and wanted your thoughts on it
DuhGreaT (1 month ago)
Zach Wachs I’m s ups driver and drive a p1200 . Love my job
Diemond Games (1 month ago)
That's one area I'm lucky, my route has a 12' box truck so I get AC/Heat and radio. Down side my route is a small Texas town, Clyde, which has several drops that aren't on GPS and one big area of it where the houses/trailers aren't numbered along with no logical order with the lot #. First one could be 100, one next to it would be 4002, 3rd one 1120 and so on. I have to use the previous drivers hand written guide to even attempt to find them.

Thanks for watching, glad you're great homie. Keep staying positive

Is package handler easier than driving???

Cristian Ocampo no, ive only ever worked in the northwest region
Cristian Ocampo (1 month ago)
U work FedEx in Hammond Indiana?
pikawolfy (1 month ago)
As someone whose done both, being a package handler is more hectic and physically demanding seeing as depending on what they put you on you could be unloading 4-6 trailers a night, loading 3 trailers, loading 3-6 delivery trucks or processing many inconverable packages (ones that are too large, heavy or thin to go through the belt system). Plus you need to keep up with the pace of the belt line which if you are on a heavy set it can get really stressful. Drivers though are completely on their own so those heavy packages you may have asked for help with as a PH, you are stuck dealing with it on your own as a driver. Being a driver is more mentally exhausting i found. Some drivers do 3 cities in their day, so you have to know three different maps. Plus traffic sucks to deal with and theres a lot more unknown dangers, such as dogs/crazy people/environmental dangers. Nothings more stressful then your truck breaking down in the middle of a rural area and you have almost no phone service. Drivers are also not nearly as protected as PH's are. PH's are fedex employees, they get benefits and fair treatment. If they mess up, unless it fits in a very small list of firable offenses, they are given many chances. Drivers on the other hand are set to high standards and are more likely to face termination (depending on their contractor) for mistakes because if their drivers arent meeting standards they could lose their entire contract with FedEx. A driver job is also very physically demanding but you get some down time in between stops sometimes (HD routes tend to get more then Ground since their stops tend to be farther apart) package handler is the easier of the two to get though. Ya get an interview and your basically hired. Drivers on the other hand have requirements they must meet. Both jobs are very difficult and not for everyone. I did package handler for 3 years before being a driver, so that may be why i feel driver was less physically demanding seeing as i was already used to the job, so from a brand new hires perspective they are both going to be very difficult jobs with crazy physical challenges

I've been a package handler at UPS years ago and just like being a driver you'll have your good days and your bad days. It really boils down to what you want whether it's full time or part time neither one is going to be a walk in the park. Best of luck to you.
Angel Dorame (1 month ago)
im having a interview Tomarrow at fedex for package handler any advice
DuhGreaT (1 month ago)
Sane your time and go work for ups .
Brian Reyes (1 month ago)
It's literally u show up answer 2 question come back for orientation literally don't give up I did package handling for a whole year but decided to drop it for driving it's all about your personality and work ethics
Angel Dorame (1 month ago)
+Zach Wachs thank you so much & do you any questions they ask in the interview
Zach Wachs (1 month ago)
I can you some advice and I speak for all drivers when I say this. We value and appreciate package handlers who take pride in their work and don't quit when it gets tough. There are no easy jobs in this profession it's all blue collar hard labor but if you have a strong work ethic you'll be just fine.

You guys having scanner problems too? Our did the same thing yesterday and today in Abilene.
Scott Fisher (1 month ago)
Diemond Games there was a company wide outage. It was a mess
CThompsonTv (1 month ago)
I know on your 3rd day that would be hectic for sure! Glad you got thru it
Diemond Games (1 month ago)
Not much for a problem for you veterans, but i'm only on my 3rd day, I need those scanners working. Missed a few because I didn't know how many packages there were supposed to be on some of the drops and my trainer didn't write them all down.
