It's A Two-Horse Race Between Amazon And Walmart: Retail Expert Jan Kniffen | CNBC
I refuse to choose. I shop at Walmart for necessities: food, clothing, car maintenance supplies, business supplies. I shop at Amazon for entertainment: Board games, Kindle books. I also shop Ebay for games and office supplies. I also shop at local stores, including farmers' markets, for various items. There doesn't have to be just one winner. If the CEO of Amazon or Walmart feel that they cannot survive on only a $20 million salary and so they have to grow bigger, they get no sympathy from me.

I’ve been boycotting Walmart for over 9 years. I shop at Costco, Winco, and Smiths even though Walmart is much closer to me.

I use both Amazon and Walmart, but Walmart is still indispensable to me and Amazon would not replace Walmart’s utility for myself.
