This interview shows perfectly why Bezos is a multi billionaire and the rest of us have a hard time just trying to make ends meet. Only a handful of visionaries in each generation.

The interviewer is totally skeptical, what a shame. I am sure his portfolio didn’t include many of today’s successful companies.
DjeieA KeksekI (2 days ago)
Raymundo Hernandez I heard from one commenter that the interviewer should act as a skeptic, that's his job, no shame in that.

Does anyone else feel like amazon.com look didn't change significantly since that time?
Michael Calibri (9 days ago)
By "corporate arrogance" the interviewer means to say he can't understand the internet functioning to enable retail. I guess it's because of mentalities like that that the Jeff Bezos, Larry Pages and Bill Gates's come out on top. They're underestimated but have very good foresight + wherewithal simultaneously while the dominant opposition of the time is entrenched in what they know and unwilling to believe this "new thing" will pull the leased property from right out under them. Lucky you're owned by Comcast CNBC otherwise Jeff Bezos would've probably bought you too. Like Google used to say "Don't be evil." They must be evil now since they removed it. "We didn't understand books" Books = commodity, just like other products. The internet took a bunch of niche industry caterers and put full focus capitalism "you're just another commodity" upon them while the entrenched said "but you don't understand our business" (Steve Jobs pressuring music executives into lucrative license deals through iTunes by threatening that piracy would dissolve them, Netflix did similar and got undeniably good deals from media companies who later regretted the terms because they got into bed with their better. I guess A.I. is next.
