Who works for this outfit they run like a dictatorship. Spit on you as if you are a spit bucket, who needs you anymore. Hell with them don't miss them, 2 years of that bullshit. Day in day out, same boring back heiving sweat shop bull, brown truck, toilet flush, anal company they are. Why wait and be a package slave for the next 10-15 years and then be in a wheel chair after. They can have it. All they do is bully, deceive, and play you like a fool. Someone should spray these cock roaches with raid. The union to they are worthless just a cash cow, for another outfit to make even more off of you.. To much of a game to these people always trying to stick it in you.. same old shit there and nothing ever changes. Over babied and over privileged management, while you get the stick in the ass. Wonder why some people take a shit and think of them. No surprise who and what they are. Who stay's keep it. Be a slave for the next 20-30 years have fun with that.

Not really happening anymore. UPS used to be able to get away with that because of higher pay rates and great benefits. Now the pay is just barely better than minimum wage and you have to wait 1 year for reduced benefits and 2 years to pay to get your family on them. No one wants to work there and those they do hire do not work hard. You get what you pay for. Greed and competition with Amazon and other shipping companies is going to implode the company. Now don't get me wrong, they certainly try it, but people literally just laugh in their faces, few people will bust their asses for them.

The real problem is lazy ass people that think they can wait until 24 hours before Christmas and order their shit and expect the whole world to jump through hoops for them.

The truth is UPS probably wishes Amazon would go away. Residential deliveries have never been profitable anyway.

Nah UPS is in a big panic. It's more than that, it's the fear that Amazon will become the new Wallmart, and if they're shipping their own product and taking customers from other retailers that UPS delivers to, UPS is going to lose A LOT of business. Recently an Amazon distribution center opened 1 state away from our building, our building has been having record lows. I know personally I buy damn near everything through Amazon, SOOOOOO much easier than dealing with traffic and lines. Yeah I'll wait 1 or 2 days, especially when it's at a great price.

There is no such thing as "Free Delivery" Amazon.

Ups is having a hard time with amazon, amazon is having a hard time with UPS while Fedex can't handle the Struggle with the Amazon, and Amazon can't work without them, shit i need my order soon as possible before this 3 Company Died!

Amazon is about 6% of UPS volume.

Ups doesn't need Amazon, Amazon needs ups. FedEx can't even handle Amazon, USPS can't even handle the FedEx workload. Amazon as always wants to cut the bottom line, cut costs everywhere. But they they can't cut ups out, not for decades to come, unless they spend millions and millions. Even when they spend millions and millions, they lack the infrastructure, the man power, the decades of planning and development of routes that ups has spent a century building. The thing is ups can survive without Amazon, Amazon is a major client of ups, but as the digital market gets more saturated with Walmart, Kmart, target and several sites Just like Amazon shipping online all through UPS they going to be screwed elsewhere. This Christmas debacle was over money, Amazon wanted a cheaper rate, ups said no. Ups knows its position, they're not dumb, they know they can milk Amazon and they'll be fucked of they don't. Eventually ups won a .25 raise, that's it, Amazon is that greedy.

Yankie Doodle thanks to UPS not being on their shit, now I (postal worker) have to work EVERY Sunday to deliver Amazon ONLY!

+Robert Maiorana advanced teleportation technology /delorean... Ha! Yes, FDX Ground service delivery drivers are part of a contractor model. I hear some make great profits depending on the route, especially in the big markets. you'll sometimes find a single contractor owning the entire city because it's so lucrative. Eh good for them; I'll stick it out and keep the pension.
Robert Maiorana (9 months ago)
+You Know Who! No it wasn't profitable for UPS, they tried to get a lower rate at UPS too. But they can't cut us out because they lack advance teleportation technology and deloreans are not in production any more. I can't speak for the whole industry as a whole but this is what happen in the tri state area around New York. Ups and fedex are well aware the position they play in online sales is entirely dependent on them, not Amazon. That's why they're trying to start their own delivery service, that's akin to how fedex operates are has operated in the past via contractors and or wild ambitions of drones. But they lack the logistics, foundations and system that ups and fedex have built up over the years. They have the money but I foresee it failing, plus Amazon competition is rising and many retailers are operating their own similar services like Walmart or target.
You Know Who! (9 months ago)
+Robert Maiorana Now here's the honest truth: UPS and FedEx's Ground networks may still max out during the holidays because ecommerce grows by leaps and bounds every holiday season YOY and it's difficult, virtually impossible for either carrier to predict. This is the reason UPS doesn't offer a Money Back Guarantee during the holidays and FedEx follows suit. You see they both back each other up by following suit. You'll find they back each other up on a lot of decisions... Great chatting with a fellow carrier. People just can't appreciate what we go through to get packages to them!! 😊

postal service better. cheaper and with 7 day delivery.
Yankie Doodle (7 months ago)
USPS has to give UPS discount rates when it delivers their packages so UPS can maximize profits.
The Farmer of Lead None (8 months ago)
The USPS doesn't actually make money. It is discount government shipping.
