George Prezioso: Last Living Pilot of Blackjack B-17 ditched 7/11/43 in Papua New Guinea

13 ratings | 2445 views
George was the radio operator on the B-17. After a bombing run on the Japanese airport in Rabaul, it was caught in a storm, lost its way, and ditched near the village of Boga Boga. George will be 90 in May 2009 and here he talks of that night as well as being the main operator for Gen. MacArthur while in the Pacific. George is an outstanding individual - a man of honor, dignity, and humility. I was honored to meet him and record this short interview.
