Is it free of cost? Or do we need to first purchase SAS viya images from SAS?

You would need a SAS license to launch this Quick Start. You are responsible for the cost of the AWS services used while running this Quick Start reference deployment. If you are interested in getting a Viya license, please let us know. You can also learn more here:

I tried the quickstart but fails as my licence is for 64 cores. The template rejects anything greater than 16 cores. Is this a quickstart limitation or a SAS limitation?

Thanks for looking, yes 3.3 and 3.4 seem to be very different. I've passed this on to my SAS team now, again thanks for your support

Had a quick google, looks like I've got a programatic install or we aren't licenced for the tools (default is Full install)

Kevin, looks like you are using a Viya 3.4 License. The change from /SASHome to /SASDrive is one of the changes between Viya 3.3 and Viya 3.4.

So almost exacty 2 hours later (it's version 3.04 if that's makes a difference) it finishes. Using the links from the email only gives me a link to SASDrive and SASStudio, no SASHome (I tried typing a manual URL for SASHome which fails). So getting further!

Great overview, Erwan. You made it very clear what steps needed to be taken, will be very useful for SAS customers. Troy
