Why would I watch something where the creator was not smart enough to pour the liquid into the lime tray instead of putting the limes one by one into the water tray?
Pamela Wing (7 days ago)
Llfe is too short. I just buy fewer limes and use them faster. They keep two to three weeks. No way I am going that. 20 limes put into water one at a time, taken out and dried one at a time? Every time you want a couple of limes you have to rearrange the bag and reseal? Not for me. I'm fine with it, it's just not going to happen for me.

I always soak my fruit and veggies tried the baking soda method eh didn’t notice a difference in freshness/lasting but will try the vinegar. Does it matter if u put other fruits and veggies w it keep them as well. Think the object is clean and dry storage. Love that Walmart has vacuum packed veggies. Still have bag green onions I bought weeks ago still green and crisp! Great video.Thank you!

Sometimes I cannot believe what I do with my time on Earth. This time it was watching how to put limes in a bag.

C Powers (8 days ago)
So you have to do this every time you'd get a couple of limes out of the bag?
Marie Leotta (2 days ago)
I also did wonder about that
Reny Ridley (12 days ago)
Great I will try this.....Thank You
Julie Parrish (13 days ago)
Think I would use smaller bags and few limes though.... Once that bag has been opened, you've still got a LOT of limes that could spoil quickly. Use smaller bags and not have so many that you must consume quickly.
Maureen (13 days ago)
Thanks, but this could have been a lot shorter. .

Because they were limes.

I buy in bulk when possible, and I simply placed mine into a plastic vegetable container. They remain fresh for over a month.

Hi Peter, apology about the delay, where did you send your previous message?

you can put the zip lock in a sink full of water, slowly until you reach the top of the bag. (Leave room to seal). All the air is forced out , then zip it up. I would also do smaller amounts, to use as needed. Thanks.

BY THE WAY, WHERE CAN I GET THIS KIND OF PLASTIC BAG?
gemenigal (1 month ago)
The system of soaking in a gallon of water and cup of vinegar would work for all your produce. I usually fill up my sink with water and add a cup of vinegar let it set about 20 minutes. Remove from the water let it air dry and store in a ziplock in fridge. Your tomatoes, grapes, lettuce, cucumbers and so on. It’s pretty amazing that how much longer your produce will last in your fridge

is this safe to assume that when you would need some lime not as many you would just remove from bag and remove air each time. I do not have vac bags just zip locks but I read a few below and using the straw idea is brilliant
ezy2Learn (1 month ago)
It is completely safe to open the bag and reseal it after. The straw idea is great but it won't suck out all air as per vacuum cleaner. If you decided to use the straw, then your limes may not last as long as if it was done by the vacuum cleaner!

Another simple trick is just to put the fruit in the same colour bag as the fruit or veg you are looking to preserve and store them in the fridge. My dad does this all the time, and he is very mean with his bags. It won't last forever, but last longer. Anyway tomatoes in red, lemons in yellow, limes in green..etc. Here is a thought, vacuum the limes in a clear bag, then place them in another green bag??
ezy2Learn (2 months ago)
I will try that trick

will do. thanks

Try to use Agbara Herbal Powder to cure and shrunk your Fibroid.,Remember Fibroids are abnormal growths that develop in or on a woman's uterus. Sometimes these tumors become quite large and cause severe abdominal pain and heavy periods, pelvic pain, miscarriages. In other cases, they cause no signs or symptoms at all. The growths are typically benign, or noncancerous. But With Agbara Herbal Medication, This will Be completely cured,,,,Remember surgery does not removed or cured Fibroid,

Correct the caption. It should be ' Lemons ' not 'Limes'.
Susan Dodd (1 month ago)
Just to clarify...you are both right depending on where you come from. Here in the US we call them lemons and limes. However my friends from Mexico call limes, limones verdes ( “green lemons”).
Hamsa Dourfaye (2 months ago)
No , thèse are limes. Différents trees. Lemons are yellow from the get go.

How long they last? The vacuum bags when i.used them.for.clothes always found them with air after a time☹ but i have the vac n seal machine n it.is a good idea....thanks
ezy2Learn (3 months ago)
about 6 months, depending on lemon/lime quality, if your vac clothes bags leaks air then, this won't work for you. you might need to buy new bags
Gladys Lim (3 months ago)
You can make the method in amore simple way.
S Claussen (3 months ago)
@Sara Cruze but what if you're wanting to use the lime in it's natural state of being sliced and then adding it to a drink as garnishments or as a chaser for tequila? Freezing the juice into cubes isn't going to work.
Sara Cruze (3 months ago)
Squeeze lemons or limes put juice in ice cube tray freeze put ice lemon or lime cubes in freezer bag use when needed.
ezy2Learn (3 months ago)
I will try to make it more simple, thanks :)

It's a pain on the hands but I squeeze my limes bottle them in glass with plastic covers. store in the fridge or cupboard. It changes the taste but it will practically keep for ever because it's acidic. I am from the caribbean. I have used up to a year after

An intriguing idea for storing quantities of limes. However, thank you Diane for advising about the vacuum pack system as I became concerned about using house vacuum to seal bag. After all, washing the citrus seems odd if an individual is about to contaminate with a household appliance. An extremely positive share and appreciate you sharing your thoughtfulness. Blessings.
