I don't know how good this will be for the customer but it will certainly protect UPS!

This will not work in many buildings. There is NO secure area to put the package. If the driver puts it at your door....which is past the secure door, your dishonest neighbor will steal it, and unless you have video of the event, say goodbye to it. Better way.....UPS can leave it at a business they partner with, so you can re-direct it there, and pick it up yourself; or have them hold it at the nearest distribution hub, and pick it up there. Pain in the ass, but until everyone becomes honest..... :((

I used to like UPS, they have gone downhill. Delivering my silver to a neighbor whom I do not even know, this was bullshit. Especially considering I was at home waiting for my delivery. The driver was in such a hurry, he just wanted to go. Consequently I will try to go with another service from now on.

3 hardware devices that work for every door.. won't take long until they get exploited and universal tools to appear for sale on the black market

This will increase package theft and home invasions by bad guys working for UPS.

This is stupid, this is a stunt, it's a gimmick. The only secure way to deliver a package is to hand it to its intended recipient. I have to make a lot of home visits to get contracts signed in some VERY secure buildings and Gated Communities. And even with all of their security, magnetic locks, and having a 24-hour concierge service on duty packages get stolen.
