Most like it you will end up broke. On Kobe's case, he had a massive amount of income thru-out the pro-years, from both Lakers and endorsements. And still a well-known worldwide name, with a massive number of social-media followers (sometimes better than player ball well). Most of the players will never have anything close to that....and will live their pro years, spending like a Kobe Bryant......until reality hits.

Christ man its no surprise to me hearing him talk with such fire about what he wants to do. We all know how competitive he is and that it is just him as a person; hard and constant work ethic. Really shows you the type of man he is and will become (he's not old at all by average standards!!). What an unbelievable drive he has. Wishing you nothing but more success and fortune Kobe, you are and will continue to be an inspiration of mine to work hard in all I do!

Kobe is just throwing his money away at investment opportunities he knows nothing about. Just some white dudes sit down in front of him, they ask for Kobe's money, he trusts them, but he gets nothing in return. They rip him off big time.

Phil Brouzes (1 year ago)
I really enjoy listening to black people that can speak proper English. It makes them look much more intelligent and makes people give them much more respect. I just wish there was more black people that could speak English properly like Tiger Woods and Kobe Briant and many more. Nothing turns me off more then someone born and raised in the U.S and can't speak English properly.

Bad interview. If you save over 15 years at a base salary of $450k or the league minimum of $5mm, you'll be well off. Granted you need a 15 year career; kobe gave this example without explaining that the league lifespan is 4 years on average. What needs to be said is: use your notoriety and wealth while playing, diversify a portfolio, and hire a team that can cross multiple platforms. Jim is also a nut from Goldman with subpar advice. Additionally, Stiebel is the one guiding Kobe's finances, not him. Kobe has [dry money] that he can play with (over $100m). Don't bring on a novice to discuss finance. Kobe is a creative with a support group.
Stephen Moore (1 year ago)
he should do action movies or something like the Rock
