I'm just happy to be debt free with no more student loans after going and graduating college. Now I live a minimalistic lifestyle. Cook at home more as a former chef than going out. Driven the same car for almost 10 years after paying my loan off. Focusing on my small business and producing my music by the age of 30. Credit is in good shape. No credit cards. Thank you for the straightforward video and motivation ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

4 things to you need to do to be rich: 1. Pay yourself 30% - If you cant, you aren't making enough money and you need to do something about that. 2. Your money needs to make money - Don't let it sit in a bank account doing nothing. Learn how to invest, and invest. 3. Take risks - Start a business or invest in some wild shit. Figure out what is right for you. With risk there is reward. 4. Be motivated - If you have no motivation to read and learn and spend countless hours each day reading and learning... forget it, you will be poor.

People buy stuff they don't need. I have more than enough money to buy a new car but I'm driving my little ford focus until it blows up. I'll probably buy a brand new car when I've made a comfortable amount to afford one, if you don't need to get a loan, don't get one.... especially car loans.

Yes a car may be a bad investment Unless you get a car that's a year or 2 old like a Toyota Corolla that's decent reliable. Easy and cheap to work on. As at about 2 or so years old you can find em hella cheap. And if you need to haul shit every now and then. Just get a truck to use on the weekends. Simple as that.

An advice for me would be to cut friends, cut social media pressure and only invest in good quality products. For my case: winter boots, bag, and casual clothes. So that I donโ€™t have to keep buying.

This video was interesting, but I'm honestly not too interested in becoming rich. Now I'm not stupid, if someone hands me a million dollars, I'm not gonna refuse. I just don't have a strong desire to do the extra work necessary to create a source of passive income.

Another very important thing is (for the men reading this and are not gay) you need the right woman to be successful, it has a lot to do with a man's success, go through even 1 divorce and you'll know what i'm talking about, or stay with the wrong one and be miserable your whole life, and you'll also know what I'm talking about

Ur going to die soon. I am as well. We all are. Life is meaningless without the love and relationship w Jesus Christ. I lived in the world. Money โ€œsecurityโ€ there is no such thing. Even if you become โ€œrichโ€ itโ€™s a temporary security blanket before the inevitable. Store your riches in heaven. As it is said in the Bible be a good steward of your money and acknowledge Christ and he will make your paths straight.
KidBilly (1 month ago)
There's a lot of truth to this video. BUT! MOST rich people became rich with ACTIVE INCOME and investing into their retirement plan at work. Unless you count their retirement plan as passive income, then fair enough.
saramations (1 month ago)
i want to start investing, somehow. i'm 30 and i don't want to be struggling in my 60s because i don't have enough money and can't work incase my body fails me.
Heinz (1 month ago)
So, live under a bridge with a old car and working 90 hours a week until a heart attack kills you=being rich Not for me dude. What you say is true only to a certain extent. Not everything is just a financial investment. If you dont use money for things that make your life easier or simply make you happy then what is your money for.
Heinz (1 month ago)
+Chad Linton. you dont get my point, or maybe you dont want to. I am saying that working hard, having money for retirement, having money your children can inherit when you are gone and all that is very important. I sincerely hope that you and me and everybody can be in that beautiful situation when we retire. But, what i said in my first comment and im trying to explain, is that it should NOT be incompatible with living your life. Using %100 of your time and resources ONLY towards having money in your retirement, and being a diehard work-before-everything-else man is a mistake in my opinion, because you will not be able to enjoy in full the hard work you have done over the years, and its a sure road to unhappiness. What i am saying, and not having money for your retirement because you have spent it all without any care or because you have refused to work hard, are totally different and unrelated things.
Chad Linton. (1 month ago)
+Heinz how many people do you know are sorry for not having money for retirement
Heinz (1 month ago)
+Chad Linton. trust me i know a lot of people who are deeply sorry for working their lives away, not enjoying part of their hard earned money when they could. Anyway this is just my point of view, your views on life are equally valid. To each their own.
Chad Linton. (1 month ago)
+Heinz better safe than sorry,
Heinz (1 month ago)
yeah sure, thats why i say it is true to a certain extent. But of what use is it to live a miserable life trying to get rich for when you retire. Your could become a very rich old man, incapable of really enjoying your money due to old age. In my opinion a balance is best, work hard but maybe some vacation from time to time, hanging out with friends and buying that nice car you wanted if you have the money, even if its a terrible financial investment. Money is of no use if you cant enjoy it until you are 70. +Chad Linton.

If you kept swiping the credit card and only pay the minimum, you will never be rich
Archer (1 month ago)
A lot of this is obvious. Put as much money as feasible into assets, limit expenses. However, the balance is finding what makes you happy. You can invest throughout your life until youโ€™re rich, but having a big number in your portfolio might not be satisfying when youโ€™re too old to enjoy it.
Dean Rittenhouse (13 days ago)
Fancy cars and big beautiful houses don't make you happy. Things that are external to you do not make you happy. The fact that you have a lot of money in investments will not make you happy. But, the passive income from having a lot of money invested can enable your happiness. Passive income gives you time freedom which can make you happy. With enough passive income, you can do what you want, where you want and with who you want. With a large amount of passive income, you can help a lot of people, which will definitely make you happy. Who says it takes your entire life to get there? It doesn't. I've seen people build substantial passive income in as little as 12 months and multi-source very large passive income in as little as five years.
QUploads T (1 month ago)
Pulled the words right out of my mouth. I wanted to say something like that. Some people don't even turn old so there's a chance you might never find enjoyment in life.

I don't get the point of not spending in order to be rich. Live a mediocre life so that you're not poor and have to live a mediocre life. What does rich even mean then? It's weird. Anyways I don't wanna be rich, I just want to own a home one day, have a few savings for a rainy day, and travel once a year.
Noel Lรณpez (1 month ago)
I'm 24 with a 5 figure bank account so it's not like I spend my money like an idiot and I worked for all of it, but why would I not want a nice house or car. What's the point of all that money if I can't enjoy it? I'm not about to spend crazy on a bigger house than I know that to do with nor buy the expensive clothes/shoes, but a nice house and nice car. I don't really see the issue there.
Goro Akechi (1 month ago)
I agree with the house thing. It's actually cheaper and easier either having people live with you or having a mediocre house. The only things you get with big nice fancy houses is space not being used and money being taken from you, not to mention all of the extra cleaning it comes with a big nice house. A house is a house and anywhere can be home, he is correct nobody gives a fuck about what you have, like it's impressive but is it worth it? Usually it's the most simple of people that are rich because they don't spend their money trying to make themselves look rich.

My mom is currently in some trouble with car debt (20k) and the car we have now won't make it until she pays off the loan. Should she refinance and increase loan term and get lower debt/payments but risk the car being an issue with major repairs or should she get a newer car and add another 15k onto the debt. Really would like your advice here, thanks!
