For this young family, life in a tiny house is largely centred around a desire to live with a lighter footprint and do something good for the environment. Become a Living Big Patron: https://www.patreon.com/livingbig Going zero waste and cutting out single use plastics has been helped by living in a tiny house, where the small home makes the family more aware of their consumption. Mark, a Vegan chef has also leveraged debt free living in a tiny house to start his own plant based pop-up restaurant. If you live in US?other moderncountries too? the city or nearby smalltowns, there still MANY small REFURBISHABLE/REMODEL small 750-1200sqft, 1 story 1950-70's homes you can buy cheap foreclosures/empty & more $ you can literally be off grid put up panels & small windgenerators. Water collect from roof, compost, garden your yard, redo roof/walls for lighting/sun heating. Some places allow raise chickens/rabbits goats fenced like dogs. Early 90's b4 this was a 'fad-thing' I saw silliness ofowning huge house space and waste. Bought a house for less than paying apt rent and started using the savings (screw landlords and bankers) to be more environmentally sound as I kept up with the tech & movement. Instead I intend to be a little old lady in a self sustaining OWNED home in the city next to downtown.

It makes me chuckle, when most of these young folks, try to bait you into how glamorous this lifestyle is! Four minutes into this video your dreams are dashed, only to realize they're living in someone's back yard. They are "tagged as an R.V."! Most areas it "is" illegal to live, "reside" in a bus, shed, r.v. This is how government keeps you in check. (If this lifestyle were legal, more people would be doing it)!

By the time i bought a block of land and do all that i may as well buy a House. The only downside is that one is on the grid still. Tgen you need to think about what happens when you are much older and frail and need everything much closer to you. Then ic you want to sell it. Who wants to buy such a place? Not so simple in the long run.

The guy looks at he's partner is saying and ready to pounce if his not happy what she says. I think it's his idea and she's to weak and does what he says. Poor child.

I would love to live like this but I'm not sure if this is suitable for South Korea. At least where my boyfriend wants to live for his business. But we both like simple no clutter lifestyle so in terms of having only what we need, we are good there.

awesome place one suggestion that may make life a little easier not that it was mentioned and that is to have a step at the begining of your floor area before your bed area so that when sorting your daily clothing you could hang your legs over the step and pull on your trousers, excellent house

Hey there it would be so fantastic if on all your travels and seeing/experiencing these dwellings if your able to show the viewers all the systems gas, electricity, hot water, what appliances they find they really use the most of and why, and the water harvesting composting systems each of these homes have. Essentially these are the things that make it less of a carbon foot print, self sastainable living and more :). Thanks heaps for sharing this with us all. Much health love and light to ALL (gal from oz)
Very clever. Very cute. Smart too. Love LOVE LOVE the yard. I so want a yard like this. For me, the house is too small, but that's just me -still what a smart couple. Very inspiring. These ideas have me thinking.

hey, i love the idea of this visiting people with tiny houses, but there is one thing, i observed, which i donot like: when there is a couple of woman and man visited, it is mostly him who spaeks. this above is a clear example of it. she is talking, yes, like maybe less than one third of the 15 minutes (and what is she talking or asked about? - the baby-stuff. i donot know their context, as i understood they built the house together and live there together. they seem to be nice people, thats not the point. i just would like to encourage you in doing the interviews more focused on equal parts of talking. i surely didnot see all of your videos, but i noticed this sometimes, thats why i wantto mention it. thank you still. all the best wishes!

Very soon it will be against the law to be off the grid.  You will be sent to one of the FEMA camps for rehabilitation.  If you can not be rehabilitated, you will be sent to one of the two FEMA camps built for killing people.  Your head will be chopped off and then your body will be burned.  These new laws will be passed when the Jews finally get rid of the cash system, and all of you stupid people are on the debit / credit system.  Everyone will be forced onto the credit system.  A chip will be placed inside your body.  Then all of you stupid people will be slaves to the Jews.  Then, you will see why the German people kicked the Jews out of Germany.  It has already begun.  Many cities, in many states, have already outlawed being "off the grid".  And, most cities do not allow you to sleep in your car.  The Jews want you to be part of their system, they want you to be a good little slave.

everything I have to say about this video is good! Congratulations on the Family on the plant-based / vegan lifestyle! as time goes on you'll see it as something more than just plant-based every single day your eyes open up to a little bit more. I'm on pretty much lifetime which is well over 50 years. at times it's been difficult because the world didn't agree. I'm glad that your child has parents that support this it will be easier for them to be a plant-based teenager. mine was due to syndrome I was born with at the beginning and became ethical as I grew up. love your space love your attitude this was a great video but our host does that he has a knack for finding people with great spaces! some of my favorite videos have been brought by this channel. good host good people! 🐸💜

So, they lived with their parents, obviously in their early thirties-free, dinners included, not working (but dad had to "go to work"). He supplied the trailer, the wood and the glass. This is about right. They didn't truly do this on their own, in their spare time. Quite the spread of land they have there at their parents house, as well. To each his own, I like the tiny house concept, but let's at least be honest about it. They didn't toil for this, someone else did. They watched YT videos. The irony of being self sufficient and the process of building that they have done here, and subsequent living area, is completely lost to them and to many here. Were it not for the free materials and labor, they'd be sipping lattes dreaming about tiny houses voting for universal income. I know the type. They are debt free because they didn't pay for it. Someone else did. Totally disingenuine presentation.
