Howdy Josie! I've been watching your videos for a bit of time now and have to say you are an amazing content creator and will go far. I am also, a "want-to-be" creative and am making the move to Anaheim to be closer to the action. I'm hoping to break into the world of visual development but will start with a CP at the Disneyland Resort. Hope everything gets clearer soon for you! Best of luck from one young creative to another, DJ

A lot of people are so afraid of the unknown to the extend that they never give themselves permission to take a leap of faith and explore something new and great. It takes a lot of courage and sense of hope to have the kind of mindset you have in life and I’m glad that you’ve created a lot value from all of it. I’m sure with proper planning and patience, things will work out. I’ve lived in Texas all my life but am actually starting to consider a life abroad in Sweden after uni so I also want to take that leap of faith! Hopefully all goes well for you and the channel. It’s always worth pursuing things that you find meaningful. 😊

Josefin, I don’t know if you are a fan of Roxette, very sad news of Marie Fredriksson passed away Tuesday 10th of December 2019. A Swedish tribute to Marie would be lovely, maybe a song or what you like to say. It is up to you if you want to or not. Rest In Peace Marie ❤️❤️❤️😢😢😢😢🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪

Are you sure you want to leave? I thought you are at university to get a graduation? Can you work now the same way as if you would have a graduation?
Stephanie Safdie (2 months ago)
Joise!! I was shook when I read this title! I want you to know how much I love watching your videos, and how much I have loved seeing you so happy in L.A. I've always related to you so much because MY biggest dream is to move to Paris (I have an interview for a job there later this week, hopefully it all goes well!) and like you I want to be a creator on Youtube/be a writer and just share my stories with the world in a creative light. I'm sad you have to leave L.A. but I totally get what you're saying about school taking up time... that's how I feel about school right now (I'm graduating this May, though!!) I know you'll be back in L.A. before we know it, but like you said, you know what you want to do... so have at it! Dreams are not that difficult to accomplish if you set your mind to it... and your move to L.A. showed me that I can move to Paris as American if I really want it bad enough :) Sending love and luck on the next steps in your journey <3
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
Aww hi Stephanie!! Thank you so so much for your words!! Gives me such juice to keep doing this thing! I really have had such good and happy times here! But even if I do leave soon, it's not the end! I'll be back. It's part of the journey. I believe in you 100% - KEEP DOING YOUR THING! Wholeheartedly. Thanks for sharing a little bit about you and your passion!

Have you looked into applying for a Working Holiday Visa? You still need to provide proof you can somewhat sustain yourself for a little bit but it's easier to get approved than a regular work visa. It's something that can work within 30ish countries that Sweden has an agreement with like Australia, UK, or Canada (REPRESENT!!!). If you come to Canada, specifically Toronto, i can show you around the city! Anyway. I wish you the best of luck with this whole ordeal!

Ever since I visited Västerås and met you and got to know the Swedish culture and way of life there... I’ve been absolutely in love with it.... I came into sweden headfirst and fit in like a square peg in a round hole, but that was the beauty of it. Everything amazed me. Learning more and more is what made me so happy every day I was there. I wanted to soak up everything. Ever since I left, I’ve worked endlessly on learning more about the history, the culture, the language, the social life, and every little thing I can. It’s been very well over a year and I just cry when i think about it.... I love Sweden more than anything. I had plans on moving there nearly 2 years ago. I had documents. I had plans. I had a dream. Then everything fell apart when i left and nothing’s been the same since... i live in a very rural and small part of the USA and I don’t make enough money to visit like I want. My dream would be to live in Västerås, but i have no resources. I can’t move there without a job, and i can’t get a job almost anywhere without University, which i can’t afford. I’m in a dark place when it comes to this. I’m trying my best to enjoy what I have but I know i’m not happy. My apologies if this is depressing.

Sofie Nova I have but I don’t want to throw myself thousands of dollars deep into student debt
Sofie Nova (2 months ago)
I’m so sad to hear this! As a Swede I definitely don’t think it’s impossible for you to move here!! Maybe you can study here in Sweden? For us, university here is free but I’m not sure how expensive it would be for you. Have you looked into that? 🌸
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
good things do happen!
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
Britney! I assure you you will make it happen somehow! Maybe not the way you expected. But you'll see it again :) Just take small steps! You can always put at away at least the tiniest amount of money. And keep reaching out to people, organizations etc. Travel opportunities will show up, just keep an eye out for them, hold your head up and think positively!
World Wide Wong (2 months ago)
Hey Britney, have you looked into the Working Holiday Visa? Yes, you would need to provide proof that you can financially sustain your self for a few months but it's much easier to be approved than a regular work visa. Perhaps, you can take an extra job or side hustle to save up enough to move to Sweden! good luck!
Steven Sievert (2 months ago)
YES go to London! That's my favorite place! I'm coming to visit :)
khs17 (2 months ago)
lifelikejosie Yes Josie London would be perfect for you, so much opportunities will present themselves. Close to home , family could come and visit. It is perfect, sorry if I don’t think much of LA, it is just too plastic and everyone wants to be better constant competition.
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
Yes I am pretty sure I will. I LOVE LONDON!!!

I love your positivity in looking forward to the future, the faith you have in yourself- that you can achieve your dreams. I moved from Australia to Sweden this year, at age 20 it has been so incredible and yet so difficult. Learning a new language and trying to find a job feels impossible sometimes but when I think of everything I have achieved here like joining a theatre group, completing SFI and becoming a youth leader at my church it feels all the struggles are worth it. Excited to see what the future holds for both of us!!

I absolutly belive in you!! Right now I am also at a point where I have to make final desicions about my life for the next few years and I am really undecided, because there are so many people in my life who are all affect me in diffrent ways... I think I know where I want to go, but it is sort of difficult eexplainig it to everyone in my life... But as you said in some sort of way it will work out, so I hope for the best and also try my best!!!!
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
well said Wong!
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
Carla! You do not have to always be understood by everyone. You won't be. But what is important is that you listen to your own voice and go for what you want because no one is going to do that for you. I know it can be scary, but in the long run those opinions and fears will be completely irrelevant. <3
World Wide Wong (2 months ago)
do you necessarily have to explain it to them? can you take one action step at a time? I know your friends, family, and colleagues are tied to you but you still need to look at your own life to make sure you're doing things that can bring happiness

Is it so interesting to live in America, is the atmosphere different? Why do many people go there?
Dim Hudoi (2 months ago)
Spontaneity, motivation and for freedom and many opportunities, many seek to go there. My brother is already mentally there too. Everyone’s desires, where to be and where they want to go.))
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
Well I am here specifically for Los Angeles rather than America. There are a lot of opportunities within the creative fields. There's also SO MUCH to do! And a lot of people are here to be adventurous, spontaneous, and follow their dreams so that's a very fun and motivating thing :)

But Josie, how close are you to a degree? Wouldn't you graduate after the spring semester? (I thought you were at a community college, which would mean People typically graduate with an Associate's after their 2nd year.) If you are this close, I recommend that you finish first, Because there are certain opportunities that will work A lot better if you finish than if you stop partway... If you aren't close, though, then... well, that's okay.

Robyn (2 months ago)
Hey Josie! I really like how you take the courage to change your plans! I also wanna move to LA, but only cause I wanna go to one of the art schools there, haha and I know my skills are good enough but it's just really expensive! As an international student I can't apply to US scholarships as long as I'm not enrolled into a US school, but the school wants me to prove that I have 65.000 USD for the first year of living there and I'm kinda stuck :-/ I'm from Germany and we do have financial aid for domestic students and thos who study abroad but I wouldn't even be close to what I need to afford art school. It's super interesting to see your journey though^^I wish you all the best in the future!
Robyn (2 months ago)
@lifelikejosie thanks for your answer! yeah for me the school would be the main reason why I would wanna go there and not LA itself, so if the school was in spain I would want to go there. My backup plan is to go to a more average school in Germany but I'll still try to get into the LA school^^ Your videos gave me a great insight into life in LA as an international student though and I really enjoyed them^^
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
Thank you! Yes. Stepping outside of the comfort zone and being open to change is good. Sometimes things change and it does not have to be a bad thing at all :) Ahh and amazing, I am excited for you! I know. It is expensive living and going to school here. But hey, why don't you look into a cheaper college? I go to a community college - and the theatre, music and dance departments are phenomenal - I've made great connections, friends and have learned so much from the teachers!

@lifelikejosie why did you give up, you would have gotten people eventually. such a shame.
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
@Brian Hey! I did start a Patreon a while ago. But it didn't quite work out. Didn't quite get the response I was hoping I would, and only one person signed up, so I just stopped it the other day. But! I am looking into channel memberships on youtube! Which seems much simpler cause it's on YouTube :) So we'll see when I get that going! Thanks for the support.

Heey Josie! Me and my sister wanna go to school in the US with F1 visa so I wanted to ask you how long we can stau there with that type of visa and can we graduate at any US high school? And we don't wanna get that visa by any exchange organisation, we just wanna make it by ourselves. And can we stay at relevant's house?
Therese Boysen (1 month ago)
High school students typically enter the U.S. on an F2 visa which is dependent on someone with an F1 visa (like a parent). It's not until you start college that you enter with your own F1 visa. But as World Wide Wong said, contact your local U.S. embassy for current information.
World Wide Wong (2 months ago)
That seems to be a question your local US embassy can answer
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
oh but I meant college. I just read you said high school. High school is different and I'm not sure if that's a thing you can do.
lifelikejosie (2 months ago)
It's a 5 year visa (and I'm sure you can get another one after if the studies take longer to complete), so as long as you are full time enrolled in the spring and fall semesters, you're good to go.
