The "dumbo" octopus moves by flapping its fins, and steers using webbed arms. To learn more about this fascinating creature, you can read on here: https://on.natgeo.com/2z7G4CT

This video is much better with the sound muted--all that moronic ooh-ing and aah-ing ruins the moment.

Atm National Geographic public relations manager - yeah, if you could get your people to just stfu while showing the octopus, that would be great.
Dita Yuniar (2 months ago)
I thouht it is a mixed creature or a transition creature between cuttle fish and octopus

How can people 'dislike,' this?! Even if you didn't think it was awesome (which IMO it was BTW, ;) ) to 'dislike,' it is just weird, sad, and very telling of people's state of mind. I hope ya'll get some help for that! Dig deep into that pain you're holding onto and scoop out all the gangrene in your heart. It will be worth it in the end! I promise! This dude was cute AF and was DEFINITELY loving having it's 2 minutes of fame! :) <3

This is the first time in my life seeing this creature..what amazing thing!😲
rsuriyop (3 months ago)
Originally clicked on this thumbnail because of the octopus. Turns out what interested me more in the end though was the scientists' oddly casual banter. Like people visiting an aquarium for the first time or something.

The audio is annoying. A professional editing of the audio, providing scientific informatio would've been much better.
Cartesian Diver (3 months ago)
The people making a bunch of noise is annoying. Someone a soothing voice (like David Attenborough) telling facts about this creature, would be way better.

There is literally millions upon millions of dollars of dollars going into this research for these people to find an octopus and go "OOOOOOOOOOO MY GOOOOOOODDDD" for 10 minutes and then spend the rest of the day doing nothing....

How us this all a big bang. Mankind use that so called intelligence you have and stop worshipping scientists. They learned and so can you but they are human and can never be certain. Find your purpose in life.
