Poland and the Czech Republic seem the most complicated. I just opted out of the pan European. Let's see how it is going to affect my business

I am looking to opt out. Poland sent me an invoice totalling £1500 and I am told to expect more. So the money I made is taken away again. It does not make sense. I want to opt out. I do not care about prime members.

Too expensive and probably useless. I want to unenroll.

However, we need to pay if we do the FBA in Europe. Is there any difference in paying VAT in Pan-europe vs a normal FBA program?

What about European Fulfilment method? Apparently this is better if you're not VAT registered?

Hi, What if I want to sell only in Germany? Do I need to sign up Pan -European FBA and which Amazon fulfilment centre will my supplier ship my products?
ANG Performance (10 months ago)
Can an amazon seller in the us sell in the eu and German marketplace? And If so, what steps do I need to take to make it happen?
Yas (7 months ago)
Yes you can, you have to register you fba account to sell in the EU, as we EU can sell in the US... Then once registered in EU marketplaces you can select PAN European and EDIT which countries you want your products to be sent in

Can you choose to use one country as part of pan europe? Lets say select Germany only when signing up? thanks

Yas hey So basically it is possible to do it, launch it, make a profit out of it ?thanks .
Yas (7 months ago)
Yes you can when you sign up for PAN European, in Fulfilment by Amazon Settings, Cross-Border Fulfilment Settings, EDIT, With Multi-Country Inventory (MCI) you can ship to and store your FBA inventory in Amazon fulfilment centres in multiple countries of your choice across Europe

Yes but also the U.K account requires you to pay for the dreadful VAT at the port of entry. So I guess there's no difference between the UK and Pan EU accounts.
InternetBizUni (11 months ago)
MahdiBanners yes everyone who imports products to the eu have to pay VAT on entry. So it is a level playing field. You can reclaim this VAT if you are VAT registered.

Wow , vat uk how

is there a threshod for pan-eu VAT. UK is >85k
BlunderCity (7 months ago)
@Yas Not sure what you are saying. Of course there is a threshold in France, it's €82 800 for commercial activities (franchise de TVA). This is the threshold above which you must be registered for VAT and collect it on behalf of the government. Most countries have similar mechanisms but the level of the threshold varies greatly. Converted to US dollars, the UK has the largest one (£85K) and at €83K, France has one of the largest. However, in France and many other countries, your stock must be based in the country where you operate or you lose your right to that threshold. Pan-European FBA will see your stock be held in foreign warehouses meaning you will need to collect VAT from the first euro generated. For all intents and purposes, this negates any benefit you may have from pan-European FBA as a new seller (unless you expect to break the threshold from the beginning).
Yas (7 months ago)
No threshold in France. As long as you collect VAT, you have to pay if off. You may also as a company reclaim VAT over products you paid from EU countries.
BlunderCity (9 months ago)
I think the point he's alluding to in the video is that you lose that threshold if you do pan-european because some of your units are stored outside of your country.
